Standing Up For Canada
By Right Blend
In early December 2024, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) veteran Jeff Evely was sentenced for his participation in the Freedom Convoy.
The judge apparently remarked that they were going easy on Jeff because of his exemplary 20 years of service to Canada and his extensive volunteer work in the community.

Jeff was given 1 year of probation, ordered not to protest in Ottawa, and sentenced to 50 hours of community service.
Jeff was convicted of Mischief and Obstruction for attempting to stand sentry at the National War Memorial during the police clearing operation of peaceful Freedom Convoy protesters. The police were violent at times, during the clearing, despite protesters being absolutely non-violent.
Jeff separately pled guilty to a breach, and that sentencing was part of the decision.
Thank you, Jeff Evely, for your honour, service, sacrifice and integrity. Thank you for your many years of service, standing up for Canada abroad and right here at home when it mattered most!
