Hello Druthers. My usual 600 papers have now been put out for this month. I am always looking for new areas to put the papers in so that the audience widens. I have many stories.

Here is one for this month:

While delivering to a very small 4 door mall and just finished putting the papers in the door, I turned around and saw this man about 35 sitting in his SUV. I asked him if he would like a paper? He never heard of it. What is this he said? I told him. Whose perspective is this from? I said it is the exact opposite of what the TV set tells you and the major newspapers, and the Doctors on TV and the politicians, etc. He was sitting in the passenger’s seat. I watched him accept and look at the paper then I left.

His wife, I was to figure out about half an hour later, was in the Dairy Queen getting dessert for their kids.

Now, here’s the part of the story that I love. Thirty minutes later, I’m up the street on my usual route and I hear, ‘Excuse Me. Excuse Me.’ I turned and there was the same white SUV with his wife driving. I walked over and leaned in. Do you have any more of those papers? Sure I said. I gave her 5 and told her to pass them onto her friends. I asked her where she lived. Not far from where I am. She had never heard of the paper but agreed with everything that she had lightly read before she met me.

We were on the same page on every topic and she was what one would call wide awake. We chatted for a good five minutes and she could not thank me enough. She drove up the street hoping to find me with the limited info that her husband had given me in regards to where I could be. I told her you can read it online. Later I thought I should have got her phone number but at least now she has a paper copy and knows of the newspaper and can read it online.

Everyone who I give a paper to who has never heard of it makes me feel like my time is well used. Once you get going it doesn’t take long to get rid of 600 copies which is about my max and my comfort level. There’s lots of work behind making these papers and getting them out to everyone and we all play a vital role from month to month.
