Druthers is free. So why subscribe?
Fair question, and the honest answer is three things.
It arrives by mail, fast
Subscribers get their paper within days. Copies that move through the volunteer network go to a hub first, and plenty don’t get where they’re going until halfway through the month.
Some places have nobody
Druthers moves through volunteers, and there are towns where nobody is carrying it yet. If that’s where you live, a postal subscription is the easiest way to get a physical copy into your hands.
You help keep it printing
This is the big one. Druthers receives no corporate money and no government funding. It truly is the people’s paper. Subscriptions and donations are what put the next issue on the press.
