It expresses the loss of confidence in Trudeau and the Liberal-NDP coalition, calling for a no-confidence vote to remove Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from office. The Liberal government has 45 calendar days to respond after an e-petition is tabled in the House of Commons.
The State of Texas is suing Pfizer for allegedly intentionally misleading the public. The lawsuit alleges that Pfizer manipulated trial data and actively tried to censor critics. The lawsuit argues that when it was first granted an EUA, the FDA recognized that it was impossible to know how effective the shot would remain beyond two months. Yet, Pfizer deliberately created the impression that the shot had durable and sustained protections, even withholding highly relevant data from the public that demonstrated rapidly waning efficacy. This is the first major lawsuit by a state to challenge the public assertions of efficacy made by Pfizer directly.
Public confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine appears to have waned so much that Health Canada has stopped displaying how many people are following their advice to get COVID-19 vaccinated or boosted for the umpteenth time. The last government update, which was six months ago, shows that just 5.7% of Canadians have received a COVID-19 vaccine in the previous six months. Confidence is also waning among healthcare professionals: CDC’s recent MMWR report noted that only 17.2% of healthcare professionals working in acute care hospitals are up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations.

Three years after Bayer agreed to pay a record-breaking $10 billion to settle claims that its weedkiller, Roundup, caused cancer, juries continue to award plaintiffs in additional cases. In the past two months, in four separate cases that weren’t covered by the 2020 settlement, juries have awarded more than $2 billion in damages to plaintiffs. There are 47,000 settlements still pending.
